Business Society

Business Society was formed on 3rd of November 2008. It consists of different committees; each one has its own responsibilities and duties. The structure of business society is shown in the diagram below. The members of the society are all from business department students and are supervised and coordinated by lecturers in the Business Department.

 

Goals

1. Enhance the relationship between the students and the external parties (companies, institutions and organizations).
2. Involve the students to participate in most of the events that are held in the college (Job Fairs, Eid Markets, National day, business department open day)
3. Motivate the students to utilize their abilities and talents in a way that will help them to develop their personal skills in a practical manner.

 

Committees' Responsibilities

1. Media Committee
          a. Prepare the periodical department magazine with the assistance of the lecturers.
          b. Coordinate with the newspapers publications for any event that might be held at the college.

2. Activities Committee
          a. Arrange different events and activities such as Job Fair, Open Day, Eid Markets, National Day ...etc.

3. Public Relation Committee
          a. Interact with the external parties in order to build a strong relationship with them.

4. Trips Committee
          a. Organize academic visits to various institutions (Muscat Securities Market, Sultan Qaboos University, Commercial Banks …etc.

5. Coordinating Committee
          a. Coordinate between other committees.
          b. Document and file the work done by Business Society.
