1. HCT Pharmacy Department Staff attended the 5th International Pharmacy Conference 2010

Six (6) staff of HCT Pharmacy Department namely: Mohammad Yahya, Mrs. B.C. Neetu, Dr Nagwa, Ms. Muna, Dr Bassem El Menshawi, Mr. Hisham Amjad, attended the 5th International Pharmacy Conference 2010 which was organized by Royal Hospital, MoH on 1st-2nd of December 2010. The theme of the conference was "Pharmacy Practice: Performance, Passion and Opportunities". Many international experts in the field of Clinical Pharmacy and Medication Safety have delivered their lectures during the different sessions of the conference. Medication safety workshop was also arranged. The conference was held at Crown Plaza, Al Qurm.

The Pharmacy Department conducted a workshop entitled "Drug Information Course" for nurses of Ministry of Health during 27th to 29th November 2010. The first 2 days constituted a series of presentations & discussions by the staff of Pharmacy department followed by an evaluation of the workshop on the 3rd day. The workshop was attended by 23 participants including Pharmacists & Assistant Pharmacists from Directorate General of Health Services - Muscat, Ministry of Health. The nurses were from several Primary Health Centers across Oman. The Pharmacy department received a highly positive feedback from all the participants of the workshop.
3. HCT Pharmacy Department Staffs attend the Muscat Pharmaceutical Conference 2010

Muscat Pharmaceutical Conference 2010 was organized by the Oman Medical College on 20-21st of October 2010. The theme of this conference was "Innovations in drug delivery for improved patient care". Dr. S.K. Sridhar, HoD, Pharmacy Dept. chaired a scientific session in the conference. Mohammad Yahya, Mrs. B.C. Neetu, Dr Nagwa, Ms. Muna and Dr Bassem El Menshawi attended the conference. Mohammad Yahya, Dr. Nagwa and Mrs. B.C. Neetu had presented their papers in scientific poster session. Internationally renowned personalities from Pharmaceutical field were invited to deliver lectures on latest developments in the field of pharmacy practice.
4. Dr. Bassem El Menshawi attends 11th Eurasia Conference on Chemical Sciences

Dr. Bassem El Menshawi, Professor of Pharmacognosy, Pharmacy Department of HCT was invited as an eminent speaker in the 11th Eurasia Conference on Chemical Sciences, 6-10 October 2010 , The Dead Sea - Jordan.
