Another HCT Laurels from the Business Studies Department Staff Members on Research

It is with great pleasure and pride that the Business Studies Department would like to congratulate some of our staff members for competing and  winning the First Prize with OMR 1000, for their research paper "Prices Changes, Trading Volume and Volatility; A Multivariate Co-integration and VECM for MSM 30 Index of Sultanate of Oman"  at the national level Faculty Research Paper Competition - FREPCO 2018  which is conducted by the College of Banking & Financial Studies (CBFS) and in association with the Research Council (TRC).

 

Their winnings is an honour and privilege for having such talented Business Studies faculty members who compete and won. Congratulations once again, and well done to the following:

 
1. Dr. Sheikha Said Mohammed Al Subhi, Dr. K. Srinivasan and Dr. T. V. V. Phani Kumar presented paper for the topic titled "Price Changes, Trading Volume and Volatility: A Multivariate Cointegration and VECM for MSM 30 Index of Sultanate of Oman" was honored and received the Best Research Paper Award with cash prize of OMR 1,000 in Faculty Research Paper Competition – FREPCO 2018 organized by College of Banking and Financial Studies, Muscat in association with The Research Council (TRC), Sultanate of Oman on 31st May 2018.

2. Dr. Badriya Nasser Said Al Shammakhi, Dr. K. Srinivasan and Dr. Mouza Saud Ali Al Habsi presented paper for the topic titled "The Day of the Week Effect and Conditional Volatility in Muscat Security Market: Evidence from MSM 30 Index" in Faculty Research Paper Competition – FREPCO 2018 organized by College of Banking and Financial Studies, Muscat in association with The Research Council (TRC), Sultanate of Oman on 31st May 2018. “
