The Business Studies Department organized a guest lecture and workshop on HR Counselling and Mentoring on 4th April 2023, as part of the HR Counselling and Mentoring Course. The guest speaker was an expert from MC, who shared knowledge and experience in the field of HR Counselling and Mentoring. The aim of the event was to enable the students to:

• Understand the concepts and principles of counselling and mentoring.
• Compare and contrast various models and approaches of counselling and mentoring.
• Apply the intervention model for counselling troubled employees.

The students learned about the challenges of supervising difficult employees, creating a positive work environment for all employees, and responding positively to challenging employees and treating them fairly. They also received practical exercises (Personal Development Plan) that helped them to stay focused and motivated in achieving their personal and future goals as a part of mentoring attributes.
