On Monday May 08, a group of eight students from the Introduction to Tourism & Hospitality course visited TRANSOM Catering, the premium service provider for aviation, logistics and hospitality for our guests across Oman's airports. They had the opportunity to tour the new outstanding facility that was launched in 2019, which is the biggest and most advanced kitchen in the Sultanate of Oman. The facility is equipped with the latest technology, laundry, and laboratory equipment and is maintained to the highest standards by a dedicated team of engineers and technicians working 24-hours a day.
The students learned about the process of providing different airlines with foodstuff and other related services, such as quality assurance, transportation and logistics, equipment ware wash, airline cargo clearing and handling, laundry, storage facilities and fish processing. Student were keen to learn and gain inside experiences from the industry.
