RHS Month celebrations closed with an engaging ergonomics workshop and a free medical health camp

Celebrating February 2018 as RHS month ended with an ergonomics workshop and a free medical health camp last 22 February 2018.

Ms. Bilqees Parker, a physiotherapist from Al-Raffah Hospital, facilitated an appealing and energized workshop on ergonomics. Ms. Bilqees talked about the benefits of proper workplace ergonomics solutions that can improve both productivity and health and safety

Ms. Bilqees made the workshop more relevant by engaging the participants to a practical training sessions  of performing various exercises that can lessen the pain as a result of too much sitting in the office.  Ms. Bilqees ended her session by prompting all participants to be more dynamic through having breaks in-between work and performing all the simple stretches she demonstrated.

The RHS committee also organized a free medical health camp in coordination with Al-Raffah Hospital , Muscat.  The camp provided free physical examinations and rapid tests for sugar, blood pressure, basic vision, spirometry (lung) and body mass index (BMI).  Approximately 400 staff and students took part in the fee medical health camp between 9:00am – 2:00pm held in the MPH and VIP reception halls.

The RHS month celebrations were organized by the college RHS Committee chaired by Dr. Khalid Al-Abri.
