Dr. B.C. Neetu, Ms. Iman Mubarak Al-Balushi, Ms. Alkhansa Khalid Al-Hashmi, and Ms. Muna Arif Al-Juma (Lecturers) and 12 students of Pharmacy Department attended “7^th Pharmaceutical Care Conference -Towards Excellence in Pharmacy Practice” conducted by Ministry of Health (Directorate General of Medical supplies) that was held on 22^nd & 23^rd February 2017 at Al Bustan Palace hotel, Muscat. Ms. Muna Arif Al-Juma also presented an oral as well as a poster presentation in the conference.

The key objectives of the events were

• Construct a pharmacy practice model that focuses on optimizing patient care outcomes and safety
• Identify essential leadership knowledge, skills, and attributes to advance practice
• Describe strategies to implement evidence based medicine practice, prospective clinical monitoring and standardized safety practices
• Describe role of team work to achieve accountability and delivery of targeted patient care outcomes
• Discuss the impact of antimicrobial resistance on clinical and economic outcomes in various patient populations
