Ali Jaffar Al-Lawati

Ali was born in 1987, completed his Secondary school in Muscat then got his Bachelor's degree from the Higher College of Technology (HCT) in Architectural Engineering in 2012. In 2011, he was one of the Eco House Design team where he presented the design work to a jury of 8. He actively participated within his team during the competition organized by The Research Council (TRC). He was a role model for his newer classmates during the study duration. His confidence and passion for Architecture and Photography have made him always seek new ways of improving and educating himself. In 2014, he was awarded a scholarship to Cardiff University, UK to obtain a Master's degree in Sustainable Design. He is an employee of the Ministry of Sports Affairs in the Department of Projects as an Architectural Engineer. He supervises many sports infrastructure projects in Oman like Sports Academy, Sports Complexes, Sports Centers and Clubs. He is a member of many committees and societies like Oman Society of Engineers OSE and Environment Society of Oman ESO. Ali was nominated for Construction Week's Engineer of The Year 2014 award.
