Message from the Head of Center

Dear Students,

Welcome to the English Language Centre at the Higher College of Technology.

The success of the English Language Programme depends on your active participation. During the course of study at the ELC, you will be expected to take an active part in the whole learning process. You will be encouraged to seek knowledge actively or to use the acquired information in new situations. Also, you will be involved in extra-curricular activities to expand the benefit from the Foundation Programme. This will be a great help when you take up employment.

The Centre is open from Sunday to Thursday from 8.00 a.m. to 8.00 p.m. This time will include periods of self-learning. It will be your responsibility to organize such periods to your best advantage using the Centre’s educational premises such as the Writing Centre and Free Access Labs. This will allow you to follow independent learning programs and carry out homework and assignments.

My best wishes go to our hard working alumni who, throughout the years, have overcome challenges to achieve tremendous success in their careers.
