Computer Services Section
The Computer Services Section (CSS) of Educational Technology Center (ETC) plays the vital role in providing computing support and services in the entire college. CSS is committed in providing quality IT helpdesk services to HCT students and staff, being the major recipients of these services. The section also aims to continuously plan, propose and implement technology advancements to keep students and staff at pace with the latest IT technologies available in the market.
CSS operates Staff Help Desk which is managed by well trained technicians. Staff Help Desk provides first hand support regarding technical matters and solutions for computer hardware and software systems. The task of the technicians is to help the staff and users explore the information technology system. Also, CSS provides HELPDESK SYSTEM (for INTRANET only) which is an online form used to submit requests to ETC. Please see Staff Helpdesk Services for more information.
CSS operates also Students Help Desk, which is managed by well trained technicians, and it is the first point of contact between students and the center's staff. Student Help Desk technicians provide different support and advice to students regarding information technology systems. This includes assisting students to troubleshoot, interpret problems and provide solutions for their computer hardware and software systems. Moreover, it is a point where students come to be assisted in solving problems of their college computer password and username as well as collecting or printing their college written work, assignments, internet search etc. Please see Students Helpdesk for more information on various services offered.
