ETC's Staff Training & Development Program: Seminar in Basic Computer Troubleshooting

One of the aims of ETC Staff Training and Development Program is to provide in-house trainings to  all ETC Staff that enables them to maintain and improve their knowledge and skills in the technical aspects of their individual  and collective job responsibilities.  Thus, Mrs. Rehana Al Ameer initiated the in-house seminar entitled, “Basic Computer Troubleshooting”, last October 26, 2017 using the available resources within the department.

The resource speakers are as follows:

  1. Mr. Orlando P. Meneses Jr. – he has twenty three (23) years of working experience as Hardware/Software Specialist.  He used to work as IT Engineer in different IT Organizations in the Philippines before he came to work in ETC in 2007.  He is knowledgeable and has certification in Linux System Administration, CISCO CCNA.  He also attended seminars in CompTIA A+ and CompTIA Network+
  2. Mr. Scot Samson – He has eleven (11) years of working experience as Helpdesk and IT Support.  He was a Helpdesk Technical Support Supervisor in ‘Convergys Philippines for six years before working ETC.  He attended comprehensive training courses in Windows 7, CompTIA N+, CompTIA A+.  He has also Certification on the following:  (1) CCNA – CISCO Certified Network Associate,; (2) CCENT – CISCO Certified Entry Networking Technician; (3) CompTIA A+/ CE.  He has been working with the ETC from 2012 till date.
  3. Mr. Adrian Ross Inocencio – He has twelve (12) years of working experience as IT Technical Support in Gulf Countries such as Dubai, Saudi Arabia before he joined n ETC in 2013. 

 The resource speakers, taught the participants the tips and techniques in basic computer troubleshooting which gave a satisfactory rate of 4.52  which can be described as “Excellent”.   This rating can be considered as the participants were fully satisfied.
