ETC Conducted a Seminar-Workshop entitled "Managing Challenging Behavior in College Settings"

A seminar –workshop entitled“ Managing Challenging Behavior in College” jointly organized by the Educational Technology Center and the Business Studies Department took place on Thursday, October 13, 2016 in Multi-Purpose Hall of Higher College of Technology from 1-3pm.
 
As part of ETC’s training needs analysis conducted last year, ETC identified that the staff needs to be equipped with knowledge in handling challenging behaviors  Mrs. Rehana Al Ameer is confident that staging the activity will very well promote awareness to the cultural diversities and how it influences the ability to respond to challenging behavior.  This activity was only one among the many workshops to enhance staff development. Mrs. Rehana expressed her gratitude to Dr. Imran Hameed Khan, HoD of Business Studies Department by allowing the keynote speaker Mrs. Virginia Abueva-Amorillo to conduct the said event, despite of her busy schedule.
 
Keynote speaker of the event was Ms. Virgina Abueva-Amorillo, Lecturer in Business Studies Department, who is a well experienced lecturer in conducting trainings, seminars and workshops being Chairman of the Board and General Manager in one of the reputable cooperatives in the Philippines for almost ten years.  She also has experience in Organization and Management when she became Chief of Planning Division under the Department of National Defense, administratively under the Office of the President of the Philippines for five years.  Moreover, she has eleven years of experience in academe as a lecturer.
 
It was participated in by eighty staff from different departments. Turn-out of the event was a very interesting and interactive.  It was a success!
