Al Ruwad Competition (Requirements, Terms and Conditions)

International competition in Qatar. It Business case analysis Focus on Business Principles and strategies related to human resources, marketing, finance , business development etc.

Deadline is on March 24, 25 & 26

Terms and Conditions

1. COMPOSITION OF TEAMS

Each team should represent at least two program or two discipline areas; [program] Business, IT,Engineering, or Health Sciences, or [discipline] Human Resources, Marketing, Accounting, etc.

2. CASES

Cases are selected by the CNA-Q Dean of School of Business Studies and will focus on business principles and strategies related to human resources, marketing, finance, business development, etc.

3. COMPETITION FORMAT

All teams compete in three rounds. The top four scoring teams [following the third round] complete for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place.

4. CASE PREPARATION

Teams will have 2 ½ hours to analyze the case and prepare an oral presentation using PowerPoint. They have no access to any outside information or resources.

5. PRESENTATION OF CASES

Role Play – teams are the consultants hired by the Clients [the Judges]. Each team will have 20minutes to present their case in English and 10 minutes to answer questions from the judges.

6. JUDGING AND SCORING

Judges use a scoring rubric to assign points based on Analysis, Content, Presentation and answers to questions.

7. FINAL STANDINGS

Judges scores are final and the cumulative total of points scored for each team following the three rounds determines the top four finalists.

8. FINALS

The four finalists compete in a final round to determine 1st, 2nd and 3rd place.
