Message from the Head of Department

The Quality Management System (QMS) at the Higher College of Technology was put in place since its inception in 1984. It encompasses all areas of College operations aiming to overseeing the quality assurance of its processes and activities.

At the very beginning, a core committee known as the Quality Assurance Executive Committee was established that was responsible for managing quality at the College. The foundation laid by the Quality Assurance Committee has strengthened the QMS over the years while the Committee itself has undergone a metamorphosis from a Committee to a Unit and from a Unit to a full-fledged department. Driven by its commitment to quality management and through the efforts of the dedicated staff members this department, aims to achieve operational excellence in all the processes and thereby assisting in achieving the Mission Vision and Values upheld by the College.

It is quoted that quality is never an accident, but it is always the result of high intention, sincere effort, intelligent direction and skillful execution. To achieve quality excellence at the College every individual in this institution should possess that high intention, make that sincere effort and skillfully execute their work with dedication and integrity.

At this juncture when the college is preparing itself for the Institutional Accreditation, your active participation and involvement in the college operations will contribute the College in achieving this goal. I would like to quote Helen Keller, “Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much”.
