Identification, assessment and management of risk are of vital importance for any organization for its smooth and trouble free functioning. As far as Higher College of Technology is concerned, it is particularly important for the RHS Committee members to have a crystal clear idea of Risk Assessment because they are the ones to implement Risk Assessment in their respective departments.
With this objective, a training was conducted on 25th January 2018 at the Conference Hall in the New Building (N 310) which was attended by all the RHS Committee Members including ADAF. The trainer was Mr. Sarath Nair, Sustainability & Safety profeesional, J.D Institute, Oman. The training was very informative, fruitful and effective and the participants enjoyed the session because it was a very interactive session and the trainer was glad to clarify the doubts of the attendees.
The focus of the training was on the topics like: What is a risk?, What is risk assessment?, and how is it carried out? The trainer made sure that the points were driven into the minds of the attendees by appropriate examples, creating relevant scenarios and by frequently asking questions.
The Event was facilitated by Ms. Sana Khamis, ELC (staff development subgroup – RHS Committee). The training is definitely helpful for the HCT RHS Committee Members for carrying out Risk Assessment and the Committee is grateful to Mr. Sarath for that.
