Student Orientation on General Health & Safety Held

30 January 2019

The College Risk, Health and Safety (CRHS) committee recognizes that it has responsibilities for the health, safety and welfare of the students. The committee aims to provide an environment which is stimulating and safe to study in, and which promises high standards of health and safety.

With this objective, a general health and safety orientation for students from various departments was conducted last 17 January 2019 at the Multipurpose Hall, English Language Centre. Mr. Sarath Nair, Sustainability & Safety professional from J.D. Institute on Health and Safety facilitated the orientation. Mr. Sarath explained the importance of ISO certification for an occupational health and safety management system, with guidance for its use in enabling an organization to proactively improve its health and safety performance in preventing injury and ill-health.

The orientation was extremely enlightening, productive and successful and the students enjoyed the session.  The RHS committee, chaired by Mr. Mazin Al Saadi, Assistant Dean for Administration and Finance, organized the orientation.
