The College Risk, Health and Safety (CRHS) Committee chaired by Dr. Khalid Al-Abri, conducted a toolbox talk attended by over eighty-six (86) College maintenance technicians and cleaning staff last 11 July 2017. Toolbox talks are designed to ensure that staff are participating and implementing safety activities, and at the same time have an opportunity to engage and discuss HSE-related issues in the staff’s line of work in particular, and the college in general. Toolbox talks is one medium and one of the programs by the College RHS committee that increases HSE awareness and get staff motivated, and actively involved.

Further, the activity also sets the tone in preparation for a number of activities related to inspections and audits. The toolbox talk organized by Mr. Mike Medina, RHS Coordinator, was conducted in both Hindi and English by Mr. Sreekumar Nair, Maintenance Engineer of the college. This is part of the CRHS committee’s commitment in bringing more awareness regarding risk, health and safety among staff in the College.
