COVID-19 is a new disease caused by a coronavirus, SARS-CoV-2, with scientists and researchers still learning how it spreads, and the severity of illness it causes.
The virus is thought to spread mainly from person-to-person, such as those in close contact with one another through respiratory droplets, and contact with contaminated surfaces or objects.
The virus causing COVID-19 spreads very easily and sustainably between people.

STAY AT HOME POLICY
The Oman government is highly encouraging everyone to stay at home, limit going outside and only leave the house when necessary such as:
- shopping for necessities;
- medical need;
- traveling to and from work, if remote work is not possible.
